There’s been a change at the top at Tynemouth Rotary Club.

David Milligan has passed on the president’s chain of office to Archie McGlynn.

The outgoing president said he had thoroughly enjoyed his year in office, during which time he raised funds for the Freeman Hospital Prostrate Cancer Group, TVLB, the Alzheimer’s Society (Dementia Care), and Tynemouth RNLI.

The club had also provided the Christmas tree on the Green at Tynemouth, and organised the carol service there.

Mr McGlynn said he was keen to continue the club’s charity work and would particularly be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, Marie Curie and the Motor Neurone Association.
