A club’s support for a lifesaving organisation is continuing to grow.
Rockcliffe Arms Leek Club is supporting Cullercoats RNLI for the eighth year running.
Club representatives were on hand to present a cheque for £750 to the crewmen, bringing the total they have raised to £7,500.
The latest funds were raised with a variety of tombolas, raffles and domino cards.
Mal Ross, the chairman who has run the leek club for over eight years, said: “We continue to support the local Cullercoats lifeboat because we see first-hand where our funds go to.
“I would like to thank all the staff and customers at the Rockcliffe Arms who help to support our fund-raising efforts.”
Paul Tooke, Helmsman at RNLI Cullercoats, added: “Having had the support for the last eight years from the Rockcliffe Arms Leek Club is fantastic.
“The amount they have raised over the years has directly benefitted the funding of Cullercoats RNLI.”
