Collected crockery ready for delivery

A Whitley Bay-based umbrella charity is delivering more than 26,000 items of crockery to families in North Tyneside.

The BAY Foodbank will help with the distribution of mugs, cups, saucers, plates and bowls with their food parcel deliveries to homes in the area, donated by the Angels of the North.

The charity’s honorary chief executive officer Barbara Connors-Fowler said recipients were pleased to get the items.

Rev Alan Dickinson, of t foodbank, said: “Our partnership with Angels of the North has been invaluable.

“Thanks to the generosity in providing us with crockery we now have the potential to distribute even more items to families and agencies.”
