A BOROUGH college has been the only one from the north east short-listed in a national award for is prospectus.
TyneMet College is in the running for the ‘Best Further Education College Prospectus (Printed)’ award at the 2012 Heist Awards.
The awards recognise and celebrate the professionalism and innovation shown from the smallest regional college to global education brands.
The TyneMet 2012-13 school leavers prospectus was one of the first in the UK to be published and was created and designed in-house by head of marketing Tori Clayton and graphic designer Paul Brown.
Tori said: “I am delighted that our school leavers’ prospectus has been recognised on a national scale.
“We have received lots of positive feedback from students, parents and wider education sector colleagues about its credibility and relevance to the target market with its innovative ‘manga’ style.
“It is particularly good to recognise the hard work and creativity of the team, particularly Paul Brown who designed the prospectus.
“Being short-listed to the top ten nationally is a fantastic achievement.
“Fingers crossed for the end of May where we will find out who the overall winner is.”
