ANYONE with police issues is being invited to attend a community forum next weekend.

Police are inviting residents to attend the forum at the RNLI Building in Cullercoats Harbour on Sunday, August 12, from 1pm to 2pm, where neighbourhood beat managers Pcs Kevin Daykin and Alan Mooring will answer questions.

Pc Daykin said: “Forums are a good way for local people to get their views across to officers who patrol their community. We’re encouraging people to come along and tell us about the issues which matter to them.

“This information helps us to deal with the main points which are a matter of concern. It’s important that we get this feedback so we can tailor our time and resources effectively and help local people.”

The officers will also bring people up to date with the work they’ve been carrying out in the area to reduce crime and disorder. In particular the work which has gone into Operation Dredge which focuses on tackling anti-social behaviour in the Cullercoats Bay area.

If anyone is unable to attend the meeting but would like to speak to an officer, they can contact their local neighbourhood policing team on 101 ext 69191.
