A SEATON Burn firm has hit the gold standard for training.

E-learning specialist Creating Careers has joined the top one per cent of businesses signed up to the Commission for Employment and Skills’ Investors in People (IIP) scheme by picking up the initiative’s gold award.

The company has expanded rapidly since it was set up in 1999 and now employs more than 40 people at its Berwick Hill Road office.

Creating Careers has become one of the UK’s leading names in e-learning over the last decade, training thousands of people each year through its vision2learn and vision2learn for schools brands.

Its commitment to the development of its staff has made it one of only 54 companies in the north east to reach the IIP gold standard.

Managing director Neil Moult, pictured, said: “Achieving the gold award is an objective the whole team at Creating Careers has been driving towards since we began the Investors in People process in 2000, and there has been much celebrating since the announcement.

“Far more than another certificate to hang on the wall, this latest achievement underlines the fact that our company is growing in the right way.

“We have spent considerable time developing the working culture here at Creating Careers, based on feedback and input from the entire team.

“We want to make Creating Careers a great environment for people to work in, allowing space for development and opportunities for individuals to achieve what they want from their career.

“The IIP gold award certainly shows that we are happily on the right track.”
