A CHARITY is celebrating after a major donation which will help disabled attendees learn more and get online.
The Killingworth-based Percy Hedley Foundation has received six laptops and five computers from Randstad Education’s Newcastle branch.
The company provides teachers and support staff to temporary and permanent education jobs, and were only too keen to help the foundation.
Marie Young, business manager at Randstad Education, said: “We work closely with many local schools and pupils and we’re always looking for ways to enhance the learning experience – it’s rewarding when we’re able to give back to the local community.
“This equipment was no longer of use to Randstad but in no way is it past its sell by date.
“I am sure it will be put to good use by service users at the foundation, not only is it an environmentally-friendly solution but it’s a superb way to support pupils in the region.”
