A family fun day is being held alongside an event for people to raise local issues.

North Tyneside Elected Mayor Norma Redfearn is holding the event as part of an Elected Mayor Listens Event.

On Saturday, there will be an array of activities for youngsters of all ages to take part in; from arts and crafts and face painting, to Giant Connect 4, a visit from the balloon professor and a discovery zoo.

Officers and partners from a range of council services including: Participation, Advocacy and Engagement, Regeneration, Planning, Highways, Health, Education, Care and Safeguarding, Public Health, Sport and Active North Tyneside, Contours and Dementia “Friends” awareness will be in attendance, as well as colleagues from the Police, Fire service and Nexus.

As part of the event, the Elected Mayor Listens Event for Valley ward will take place, where Mrs Redfearn, cabinet members and Valley Ward Councillors will be available to answer any questions from residents.

The event will be held at North Tyneside Council’s Quadrant East HQ, Silverlink North, Cobalt Business Park, from noon until 2pm.

Everyone who attends the event will have the opportunity to be entered into a free prize draw which will be drawn later on in the year.
