Pupils are calculating the success of completing a GCSE early.
A group of Year 11 students at Kings Priory School, in Tynemouth, achieved a 96 per cent success rate in their early maths GCSE results.
More than half the pupils achieved an A* grade while 42 per cent secured an A grade.
Head of school Gill Hewlett said: “It is wonderful to see pupils again proving hard work and independence of thought pay dividends; this has been an exceptionally busy year group and their contribution to the life of the school in sport, music, drama and the Duke of Edinburgh programme has been massive.”
“It goes to show that busy pupils achieve great things. We look forward to continued success in the Sixth Form.”
