Attempted burglary at post office

TWO men responsible for an attempted burglary at Dudley’s post office are being hunted by police.

Officers were called to the Market Street post office at 6.20am on Saturday after receiving a report of two men being seen running away from the premises.

Nothing was stolen from the shop, but police are appealing for help in identifying the raiders, described as wearing all black clothing.

Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Musgrove said: “Our investigation is continuing into this incident, and we are doing all we can to trace the two men seen running from the premises.

“I would urge anyone who spotted suspicious activity around the time of the report, throughout the night or in the previous weeks to come forward. They may have vital information to help assist our inquiries.”
