Thieves cut through chain to steal bike

THIEVES have stolen a bicycle that was chained to railings outside the Blue Reef aquarium in Tynemouth.

It happened between 3.45pm and 3.59pm on Sunday, September 2.

The black and white Nitrox Diablo was chained to the railings outside the aquarium on Grand Parade and thieves cut the lock and stole the bike and aThieves cut through chain to steal bike racing bike was left in its place.

Detective Inspector Neil Brotherton said: “There will have been a lot of people around when the bike was taken so we are asking people to contact us if they saw what happened or recognise the racing bike that was left.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who saw anyone with the Nitrox Diablo shortly after the incident.”
