RESIDENTS are being invited to have discuss their concerns with police over a brew.
Community Support Officer Carl Brydon is inviting local people to join him for a cuppa and a chat at St Paul’s Church on George Road over the next few months as part of a series of cuppa with a coppa events.
CSO Brydon is part of the Wallsend neighbourhood policing team and covers the Willington Quay area on his beat.
The hour-long sessions are being held on Thursday, March 8, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm; Wednesday, March 28, from 1pm to 2pm; Thursday, April 12, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm; Wednesday, May 2, from 1pm to 2pm; Thursday, May 17, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, and Wednesday, June 6, from 1pm to 2pm.
He said: “I hope to meet residents of all ages at the church and have the chance to enjoy a cuppa and talk about local issues.
“These sessions are an informal way of getting to know local people better, talking to them about how we police the community and finding out how we can help people.
“I’ll be happy to provide crime prevention information and talk about any concerns people may have.”
