A new housing development has been shortlisted in a national awards.

Isos Housing Group has been shortlisted in the Best Small Development in the National Housing Awards for its Farmstead development in Seaton Burn.

The £2.2m development features 20 affordable homes for single people, families and older residents in Dudley Lane, along with play facilities for the local community, and investment in the local nature reserve.

Michael Farr, executive director of development at Isos, said: “I’m proud that we’re recognised as building developments worthy of national recognition.

“There has never been a more important time to highlight the value of high quality affordable homes for our communities.”

Isos has also been shortlisted in the Best Partnership category for its Stocksfield Community Association Trading Arm (SCATA).

The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in London on September 10.
