My husband and I used to walk into North Shields centre regularly on Sunday afternoons to visit Wilkinsons.
It take us about 40 minutes to walk there and then needed to visit the toilet. Now there is no toilet to visit so we do not go to North Shields any more on a Sunday.
It was always quiet on a Sunday because a lot of the shops are closed.
I suspect that we will not be the only ones put off going there because of the lack of provision.
I also think that the indoor car park will be getting used as a toilet.
Does the council want to kill Sunday trading in North Shields altogether?
