A surveyor has double reasons to celebrate after landing two recognitions in the same day.
Thomas Conneely, a former King’s School pupil, is now a chartered surveyor after the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) confirmed he passed his Assessment of Professional Competence.
And on the same day, Thomas – who works for Newcastle-based JK Property Consultants – won the Young Achiever award from Constructing Excellence North East after being nominated by Northumbria University for his ongoing charity and community work.
He will go onto the national final later this year.
Speaking about passing the APC, Thomas said: “The final assessment is a daunting prospect, made more difficult by the day to day pressures of the job. I’m thrilled I’ve passed at first time of asking, just two years after graduating.”
