A creative recycling centre is aiming to help people make treasure out of waste.
The House of Objects is offering children, young people and adults the chance to work with and be inspired by quality reclaimed materials.
Based at the Rising Sun Country Park in Benton, the centre will collect good waste from businesses and industry before giving schools and community groups the chance to re-use it.
The project has been initiative by North Tyneside Council which has provided funding for three years.
There is a team of 25 staff, volunteers, apprentices and artists supporting the non-profit initiative, which officially started training in January.
And at their re-launch event last week, Mayor Norma Redfearn was on hand to wish them well in the future.
The centre features training and workshops, family events, parties, team building days and more.
Anyone who can donate items to the House of Objects should email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.houseofobjects.org
