The two new classrooms, as well as other improvements, were made possible because of an investment of more than £500,000 from North Tyneside Council.

Headteacher Simon Ripley said: “Woodlawn has always been an amazing school, and now it will be even more amazing because of this huge investment.

“We are extremely grateful for the all the terrific help and support we’ve received.

“The money has allowed us to change the way we work and create a new Key Stage 1 unit, change our technology and science room, move our sixth form and have an independent flat to help to boost life skills for our young people.”
