A RANGE of activities are being held to help highlight the recent refurbishment work of an historic venue.
A number of events will take place at Tynemouth Station across the month.
The venue will host storytelling sessions, creative workshops and a children’s theatre show as part of the initiative ‘Family Fun at Tynemouth Station’.
First is a storytelling session ‘Once Upon a Time in Tynemouth Station’ on Friday, August 17, at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, where storyteller Taffy will take the group on a trip to the seaside using their imagination. The session will be followed by a creative workshop where the children will make a puppet to take home.
The following week – Monday, August 20 to Friday, August 24 – North Tyneside Council and Little Cat Theatre Company will present children’s theatre performance Sleepy Ed each day at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
The audience are invited to join a little girl called Edwina on a journey in her dreams to see where she goes and who she meets, including some of the things that scare her most.
Tickets for each event cost £3 per person and there are limited spaces for each session.
