MORE than 40 firefighters were called to a blaze at a Wallsend factory on Thursday night.
At 11.50pm on Thursday, July 14, police received a report of a fire at one of the Fruedenburg factory premises on Norham Road, North Shields.
The incident resulted in police putting a cordon in place, although there no residents affected by the cordon and there was no one inside the building.
The police and fire investigators are now looking into the cause.
At around 1.50am on Friday July 15, firefighters had the fire extinguished and the police cordons were stood down and all roads re-opened.
