A forum for parents and carers of children with additional needs is relaunching.
‘All Together Better’ is a group of parents carers who work with local service providers to make sure parents’ voices are heard in the planning and delivery of services for their children.
It will be relaunched at an drop-in event on Wednesday, September 17, at the Langdale Centre, in Wallsend, from 9.30am to 7pm.
Key professionals will be on hand to talk to parents and about what changes in the Children and Families Act 2014 mean for them and answer any questions or concerns.
A forum spokesperson said: “The introduction of the Act means some real changes for children with additional needs.
“We just want parents and carers to have as much information as they need to make the best choice for their families. We would encourage anyone who looks after a child with additional needs to come along and help us to make sure your voice is heard.”
The event will also feature stalls and information from a range of organisations. For more contact Emma Raynor on (0191) 643 2628 or email email@example.com
