Fundraising efforts aim to be spot on at school

PUPILS will be going dotty as they aim to be spot on with their fundraising efforts.

Students at Marden High School in Cullercoats will be replacing uniforms for Pudsey Bear inspired spots and teddy bears.

The youngsters will be dressing down for Children in Need tomorrow (Friday).

Spotty wristbands will be on sale for a £1 which will entitle the wearer to dress in as many spots as they wish for the whole day – with teddy bears being the must-have accessories of the day.

There will be a teddy bears’ picnic, spotty cakes and sweet treats on sale at break and lunchtime and a whole host of fun and spot-prizes during the day.

Headteacher Jonathan Morris said: “Even though I have just been at Marden High since September I have already witnessed the fundraising capabilities of our students and it is awesome.”

“However, as well as having a fantastic day we will also be staying in touch with the real reasons for fundraising for Children In Need and the very challenging lives and circumstances that other children have to deal with.”
