A North Tyneside group has been given a slide projector by a charity fund to help its members relive memories of good old days out together.

Northumbria Police Charities Fund has given the gift to the North Shields Live At Home Scheme.

The scheme arranges outings, assisted shopping trips, as well as lunches and activities at its base at North Shields Methodist Church in Hawkey’s Lane.

Scheme manager Val Liddell said: “We were delighted with the gift of the projector.

“Our members enjoy their trips out, and we will now be able to show them slideshows bringing back many happy memories.”
