Guides have been giving it some welly with training from top England footballers at a girls-only festival.
A total of 24 youngsters from the 10th Tynemouth, 2nd Battle Hill and 9th Wallsend units joined more than 2,000 others from across the country at the Wellies and Wristbands Girlguiding festival at Waddow Hall, Clitheroe, in Lancashire.
The four-day event, held over the August bank holiday weekend, included raft building, kayaking, a zip wire, giant obstacle course, drumming and Indian head massage.
And one of the highlights was the chance to develop football skills at special FA coaching sessions involving some of England’s best female players.
The Guides also enjoyed entertainment courtesy of X Factor band Only the Young and local acts.
