Teams are hoping to net a result on the beach to raise money for charity.

Football clubs have again signed up for the 2015 Tynemouth Beach Soccer Cup – taking place at Tynemouth Longsands, raising money for North East Hearts with Goals.

The event is organised by Northumberland FA in cooperation with North Tyneside Council, and is open to adults aged over 16.

The Women’s Cup and Ability Counts Cup will be played on Saturday, July 4, and the Men’s Cup on Sunday, July 5, with games starting at 11am.

For more information and to enter a team email beach.soccer@northumberlandfa.com or phone (0191) 270 0700.

North East Hearts with Goals place lifesaving portable defibrillators in local schools and sports clubs.

In 2014, the event had 216 players participate with New Fordley Ability coming out on top in the Ability Counts Cup; Newcastle United Women winning the Women’s Cup, and Newcastle United Women’s Coaches being crowned champions of the Men’s Cup.
