A man was flown to hospital after suffering a heart attack at a golf club.

The Great North Air Ambulance was called to Whitley Bay Golf Club today (Monday) at 11.30am after reports that a male in his 60s had collapsed in the car park.

Doctors and paramedics worked to resuscitate the patient, who was flown to hospital in a life-threaning condition.

After a six-minute flight, his condition on arrival was described as ‘critical’.
