Community groups from North Tyneside are invited to attend a special event to give them a unique chance to meet local funders on a one-to-one basis.

North Tyneside Voluntary Organisations Development Agency (VODA) is holding its annual Funding Fair at the Shiremoor Centre on Wednesday, November 12, from 1pm to 5pm.

The event gives voluntary and community groups and registered charities working or based in North Tyneside the chance to meet up to four funders, discuss their project ideas and improve their chances of funding success. Funders attending the fair include Big Lottery, Sport England, and many others, who between them support a wide range of community and charitable activity.

VODA’s funding adviser, Frank Gillender, said: “The fair is a great opportunity for groups to get very specific advice directly from the people who make decisions about funding.”

Voluntary and community groups or registered charities wanting to attend can book their place by emailing frank.gillender@voda.org.uk or calling (0191) 643 2626.
