Harriotte into the semi-final of Miss Teen

A youngster from the borough has beaten off competition from across the country to be named as one of the semi-finalists in this year’s Miss Teen Great Britain competition.

Harriotte Lane, from West Allotment, attends Kings Priory Academy and in her spare time volunteers at local riding school Murton Equestrian Centre , where she helps care for the horses and supports others, including the disabled riders.

After a nasty burn she received earlier this year on her leg and undergoing plastic surgery ,Harriotte thought her chances of a modelling career were lost.

She said: “It has really boosted my confidence, I’m so excited to have made it to the semi-finals, it means so much to me to be chosen, especially after my burn.”

Teenagers from across Great Britain will compete for the crown in a spectacular final.

The winner of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain will walk away with some incredible prizes including £500.

The grand final will be held in August 2014 at The Globe in Blackpool.

The finalists will enjoya day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a pyjama diva party and much more.

Harriotte added: “Making it to the grand final would be a dream come true and it would be amazing to represent my home town at the finals and win the Miss Teen Great Britain crown.”
