Staff from across Cobalt Business Park have given their support to an environmental campaign.

The ‘Cobalt More Team’ rallied organisations on the park to join in North Tyneside Council’s Big Spring Clean event.

Last week, staff from seven companies helped clean Silverlink Biodiversity Park, waggonways and other locations, filling 60 bags of rubbish.

Amy Carroll, events and communications manager at Cobalt, said: “We jumped at the opportunity to give staff a chance to volunteer to maintain their own environment and the staff seemed equally keen to get involved. We are really pleased with the amount of volunteers who took part.”

Coun John Harrison, cabinet member for the environment, said: “Ensuring North Tyneside is a clean and well maintained borough is a priority for the council and many of our residents.”
