A TEAM of interim directors is preparing to pound the pavements to raise money for a borough based charity.
Directors at Homes for Northumberland are taking to the road to prepare for this year’s Great North Run and raise money for Forest Hall charity, the Percy Hedley Foundation.
Managing director Kevin Lowry alongside Tim Harris, director of neighbourhood services, Kevin Kelly, director of finance and resources, and Ian Johnson, director of property services, will run the race to raise £800 for the charity, which is Homes for Northumberland’s corporate charity for 2012.
Kevin Lowry said: “Taking part in the run will be a challenge for all of us and we are training hard to prepare for race day.
“We are doing all we can to hit our £800 target.”
Percy Hedley Foundation’s chief executive, Carole Harder, added: “We are really grateful to everyone who raises funds for us and I have to take my hat off to the team for raising it in this way through blood, sweat and tears.”
