I saw the play Geordie’s War at Whitley Bay library last Friday and was thoroughly moved and impressed by the performance.
The full audience, packed into the community room, obviously enjoyed the play as much as I did.
Set in Tynemouth in 1915, the play concentrated on the affects the Great War had on a local family.
Costumes, professional audio and projector effects were central to the performance, ably carried out by the cast - all over 60 years of age.
If this play is performed in the future, I can recommend it as worth supporting.
Apparently, many people turned up on the day and could not get in to see the show and were greatly disappointed.
