I am very pleased to see the new cycle path into Tynemouth taking shape, I am sure this will add significant value for all those who will use it.
However when I drive along the Broadway I become somewhat annoyed at the requirement to constantly dodge the number of pot holes in the road.
When I walk along the seafront at Whitley Bay I am dismayed by the current state of dereliction of what was once a beacon on the coastal landscape.
When I read the newspaper I am frequently reminded about the cutbacks to services for our elderly residents in North Tyneside.
I am just wondering where in the priority list of things to do does an over engineered, expensive and probably unnecessary cycle path take priority over the crumbling infrastructure that is blighting North Tyneside?
