Jobseekers are being invited to a business park’s first jobs fair.
The Quorum Jobs Fair will take place on Thursday, March 2, at Longbenton’s Quorum Business Park – home to major employers including Greggs, Tesco Bank, Balfour Beatty, British Engines and Fabricom.
Information and recruitment for a range of entry-level roles and senior positions, as well as apprenticeships, will be available.
The event will take place between 10am and 3pm at building Q12, organised by North Tyneside Council and the team at Quorum with sponsors NCFE, Swiftpage and Convergys.
The Quorum shuttle bus will operate a free service to and from Four Lane Ends between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Mayor Norma Redfearn said: “This is a fantastic event for anyone looking to start a career at Quorum Business Park.
“We are extremely fortunate to have such a high standard of employers here in North Tyneside and I would encourage any job seekers to come along and find out how they could benefit.”
Fergus Trim, of Broadoak, asset managers at Quorum, said: “We have seen strong employment growth at Quorum, with a number of occupiers expanding and taking more space. It is great news that new roles are being created and that we have the talent pool available locally to meet the needs of these growing businesses.’
Quorum is home to over 25 businesses, who between them employ over 6,000 staff.
Another attraction for job seekers is the on site amenities and benefits at Quorum. Onsite facilities include the Kids 1st Nursery, Pure Gym, Greggs and the Eat@cafe, alongside free to use sporting facilities such as tennis courts, a seven-a-side football pitch and table tennis tables.
All staff at Quorum Business Park benefit from the Q card scheme which offers a variety of benefits including discounts at local restaurants, hotels, shops and entertainment venues, as well as travel discounts on buses travelling to Quorum.
