A fitness coach from Tynemouth has been shortlisted for two top health and fitness awards.
Lauren Sutherland is a nominee in the Most Inspiration Coach (East) and Best Sports, Health or Fitness Club (East) categories at the What’s on 4 Me 2014 Awards in association with Ideal Weight.
The awards, now in its eighth year, celebrate the best activities from throughout the UK as nominated and voted for by the UK public.
Lauren runs Benefit Bootcamps in various venues across North Shields and Newcastle but is one of the few bootcamps that do not involve running and other military style exercise.
The bootcamps also work with clients on an individual level to help with nutrition.
Lauren said: “I am honoured to have been nominated for one of the these categories, never mind two.
“I was really surprised to find that my partner and my clients set this up without my knowing and together they have piled together enough nominations to take me through to the shortlist.
“When I found out they had put me and Benefit Bootcamps forward for the award of ‘Best Sports, Health and Fitness Club (East)’ I was flattered, but expected to hear nothing more as we’re still a relatively new but rapidly expanding business.
“To be also nominated for Inspirational Coach (East) has blown me away.”
