Tynemouth RNLI Station is holding its annual Lifeboat Day this weekend.

The event will run from 11am until 3pm on Sunday, July 21, at the station in East Fish Quay, North Shields.

One of the main attractions will be a classic motorcycle rally and exhibition in Low Lights car park, hosted by the Quay Motorcycle Club.

There will also be a range of stalls, attractions and children’s rides.

David Stenhouse, Tynemouth RNLI Lifeboat operations manager, said: “Just by coming along and joining in, visitors are helping us to raise much needed funds to keep the lifeboats running and raise public awareness of the vital life-saving service the RNLI provides, funded entirely by public generosity.”
