A special fundraising beach soccer tournament will take place in Tynemouth next month.
The Northumberland FA is organising the event at Long Sands in aid of North East hears and Goals.
The charity provides local sports teams and community groups with portable defibrillators.
The event, on Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6, will include competitions for men, women and disabled men..
There will also be a Nike Skill Challenge for everyone to have a go at.
It is hoped the two-day tournament will bring a touch of the Copacabana spirit to the region while, hoipefully, England are still competing in the World Cup in Brazil.
Across the two days, more than 300 participants will take part in the various competitions.
Teams of all abilities are encouraged to enter with a £10 entry fee being donated to the charity.
The group stages will be based on total goals scored, followed by a cup knockout competition for the highest scorers.
And there will be a special ‘bucket and spade’ competition for those who left their shooting boots at home.
There will also be a charity raffle with prizes including a signed Newcastle United shirt up for grabs.
Tickets will be available from the tournament sponsors, Crusoe’s of Tynemouth café.
To enter the event, become a sponsor, or provide a prize, contact David Jones at Northumberland Football Association on (0191) 270 0700, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
