Chamber of Trade hope to make loyalty card a success

TRADERS in Whitley Bay are planning a loyalty card scheme to encourage residents to use town centre businesses.

Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade are hoping to get as many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars as possible to sign up to the scheme and help make it a success.

The scheme is the next step in the chamber's 'See you in Whitley Bay' campaign and members say the scheme provides businesses with a unique opportunity to reward existing customers and attract new ones by providing promotions and discounts.

Membership of the scheme is free to chamber members and 20 per year for non-members, and includes a dedicated section on the See you in Whitley Bay website and a set of eye-catching window stickers.

The chamber is now hoping to determine just how many business would be interested in such a scheme as it will require significant investment from the chamber.

They are asking traders to email their name and business details with either 'We're in' or 'No thanks' in the subject line to areyouin@whitleybay.co.uk.

If you have any questions about the scheme, contact info@seeyouinwhitleybay.co.uk
