There was no horsing around for a group of youngsters as they rode off with a series of qualifications thanks to a special initiative.
Fir Tree Farm Equestrian Centre, based in Forest Hall, held a one-day horse riding event giving youngsters the chance to learn more about horses, looking after them and riding them.
A total of 30 children from around the borough, all aged between four and 14, took part in the event, which saw them complete a range of horse riding awards.
The pony club centre, which is part of a national charity, helps children who are unable to afford their own horses get involved in riding and looking after horses.
Each of the children completed the awards, which are internationally recognised and industry standard, helping the youngsters with potential job opportunities in the future.
