Coffee drinkers raise cash for the Philippines

An Emergency Coffee Morning was held on Saturday, November 23, at Crosskeys Community Hall, Elmwood Road, Monkseaton in aid of Philippines.

Organisers had hoped to raise at least £600 to send out a Shelter Box, but it was such a success that they raised enough for three shelter boxes, in excess of £1,800.

Those in charge of the morning offered their thanks to all who organised, helped, supported, attended and donated to the cause.

Visit www.shelterbox.org for more information.
