No leaf was left unturned during a clean up in Forest Hall.

The Friends of Springfield Park organised a leaf clean up with 28 volunteers – including young children – helping to fill 116 bags of rubbish and leaves.

The community centre provided tea, coffee, soup and rock buns for all the helpers.

Gerry Wardle, chairman of the friends, said: “We were delighted to be joined by volunteers aged from three to 91, who helped collect fallen leaves in the park.”
