Creative ideas to help set up in business

A new business start-up programme is being offered to encourage people to use their creative skills as a step into employment.

The Business Factory has partnered with creative industries experts Transmit Start Ups on the programme which is designed to increase the sector’s presence in North Tyneside.

An introductory workshop is taking place on Thursday, January 23, from 1pm to 4pm, at the Business Factory, Suite 10, Saville Exchange, North Shields.

Aimed at any potential business or freelancer in the creative or digital sector, participants will explore how their hobby, interest or skill can become a successful business or lead to securing employment.

Helen Gardner, contract manager at the Business Factory, said: “We’re delighted that Damian Baetens of Transmit Start Ups will be hosting this specialist workshop to explain how to start a new business in the sector.

“It’s an exciting sector with many opportunities from music and film to photography and app development so to be working with Damian and colleagues means that we will have a fantastic package of support which will keep these businesses in North Tyneside.”

Damian said: “This partnership will mean that creative start ups will benefit from our expertise, connections and access to finance as well as the quality support that the Business Factory provide.”

Places for the workshop are limited so book now via www.businessfactorynt.co.uk or contact the Business Factory on (0191) 605 3110 or email info@businessfactorynt.co.uk
