A group of young dancers are preparing to showcase their skills on the local stage alongside national performers.
A total of 14 students from the North Shields-based Jade Harrison School of Dance have successfully landed a part in a forthcoming show.
They will be appearing in Les Sylphides at the Whitley Bay Playhouse in March with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and Northern Ballet Theatre.
Jade Harrison, school principal, was delighted for the youngsters.
She said: “This is every young ballerinas dream, to train and perform with a professional ballet company.
“I am very proud of my girls and can’t wait to see the show.”
The students performing in the show are Charllotte Douglas, Millie Robson, Hannah Francs, Yasmin Nelson, Megan Henderson, Ella Robinson, ChloeThompson, Briony Livermore, Olivia McCready, Isla Morrin, Lauren Stephenson, Abigail Stephenson, Lorreli Maddison and Alice Brooks.
