Digging up facts at history talk

A special talk is being held to outline archaeological work carried out in a popular park.

The New Friends of Northumberland Park has organised the community forum meeting to look at ongoing work in the park and the pieces of history so far unearthed.

Richard Carlton, from Archaeological Practice Limited, will talk about the archaeological investigation of St Leonard’s Hospital in the North Shields park.

There will also be an update on the regeneration of the park currently being carried out by North Tyneside Council.

It will take place on Tuesday, February 25, at the Linskill Centre, Linskill Terrace, North Shields.

Refreshments will be served from 6pm with the talk starting at 6.30pm.

Everyone is welcome.
