Children have been marching to the beat as they were given an insight into a potential future career.
Members of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers visited Wallsend St Peters C of E Primary School last week for a special two-hander visit.
Some of the fusiliers spent time with Year 6 pupils in a football coaching session before around 15 drummers held a special performance for the whole school.
A school spokesperson said: “This was a fantastic experience for everyone to see and the performance given was breathtaking.
“At this time of year our Year 6 students are being inspired by various professionals so that when they reach high school they have a clearer idea of what they might like to do when they finish their education.
“They are also studying extremely hard for their SATS exams so this was a welcome break for them.”
