A DUEL between two highly-experienced antiques dealers, which found its way to the indoor fair at North Shields Fish Quay, is to be televised on BBC One.

BBC One’s ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’ visited North Shields Fish Quay Fair last summer – the episode is set to air on Thursday, February 21, at 4.30pm.

The show features David Harper from Bishop Auckland and Paul Hayes from Morecambe as they go in search of hidden treasures, competing against each other with the aim of selling their wares at a profit, to raise money for chosen charities.

Anth Mills, who runs the Fish Quay Fair, said: “The film crew being at the Fish Quay Fair was a new experience for all of us. The atmosphere was charged and we rallied together to make it a great show – but it was a free-for-all when the items went to auction.

“We have been running on a tight budget, but the last year has been incredibly positive. We are extremely grateful to the team at The Business Factory who have provided us with invaluable support and guidance – pointing us in the right direction and allowing me to concentrate on the most vital aspects of the business.”

The Fish Quay Fair which features antique, collectables and craft stalls is open every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 4pm at North Shields Fish Quay.
