Engineering up a potential career thanks to college

TWO sets of pupils have started attending TyneMet College as they work towards an engineering qualification.

The 23 pupils from Norham High School and Marden High School will visit the college each week for half a day’s study for the next two years as they work towards the level 2 extended first certificate in engineering.

During the first year, both groups will be undertaking the mandatory units of health and safety and communicating engineering.

Next year they will be completing an electrical circuit construction unit.
