Geordie Shore star pleads guilty after club fracas

Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison has admitted assaulting two women by hurling her shoes after ice was thrown at her and a co-star in a club.

The 25-year-old, from Wallsend, lashed out after her and former celebrity big brother winner Charlotte Crosby were targeted during a night out at Floritas in Newcastle where they and the rest of the cast were partying in the VIP area on July 3.

Newcastle Crown Court heard trouble flared in the bar after the pair were pelted with ice cubes by revellers as they partied.

Pattison challenged Hannah Kelso, who was sitting in a nearby booth, and wrongly accused her of being responsible.

As the reality star was led away by the club’s bouncers, she hurled both her shoes, one hitting Miss Kelso and the other Victoria Burns, who was working as a security officer at the bar.

During a short hearing today (Friday) she pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Miss Kelso, who suffered an abrasion under her eye which needed four stitches, and assault by beating on Miss Burns, who suffered a lump and very slight cut to her lip.

Her basis of plea, which was read out by the judge, said: “This involved a verbal altercation with the complainant Hannah Kelso.

“I accept I lunged at her. However, I did not connect and was pulled away by security.

“As I was pulled away I threw my shoe in the general direction and I accept it must have hit both complainants.

“I did not intend to injure anyone but threw them in the general direction out of frustration.”

The court heard both shoes were recovered in the bar after the incident.

Anthony O’Donohoe, defending, told the court: “I would ask the court to consider it was a reckless act.

“Ice was thrown at Miss Pattison and her friend Charlotte, who also appears on a well-known TV show.

“They mistakenly thought the direction they (the ice cubes) came from was the booth Miss Kelso was in.

“There was a verbal altercation.

“Security in the club quickly moved in and as she was being pulled away she threw her shoes in the general direction.”

Prosecutor Neil Pallister said: “There is no suggestion Hannah Kelso did anything wrong.

“It is correct ice was thrown but it was not from Hannah Kelso.”

Judge Brian Forster QC adjourned the case until February 3 and granted Pattison bail. He told the reality star she would not be going to jail.

Judge Forster said: “Clearly I have had an opportunity to look at the summary in this case.

“I take into account your character and I can indicate immediately that the court will not be considering any form of custodial sentence.”
