Five groups are celebrating after receiving financial support to ensure their work continues and expands.
Backworth-based MG Northumbria raised more than £14,500 at its Classics in Corbridge car show in July.
Officials decided to split the money between ten organisations across the north east.
And those with links to North Tyneside which will benefit at The Cedarwood Trust in North Shields, Tynemouth Blind Welfare Society, Wallsend Sea Cadets, Pricklepad Hedgehog Hospital in Forest Hall, and Northumbria Blood Bikes.
Northumbria Blood Bikes are launching a volunteer motorcycle courier service to provide an out of hours service to the NHS to carry vital blood, samples and other urgent items across the region, and needed to purchase a second bike.
