TWO of the country's most high profile and prolific gangsters will be in Newcastle and Whitley Bay next month.
Freddie Foreman, known as 'Brown Bread Fred', or the managing director of British crime, will be visiting Newcastle to give a talk on his life of crime and misdemeanours at The End Bar in Newcastle, on Friday, April 24.
Freddie said: "I've been up to Newcastle on numerous occasions to visit friends and raise money for good causes.
"The people up here are great, very welcoming, and I'm delighted to be appearing up here again."
And on Friday, May 1, 'Mr Nice' Howard Marks will be appearing at The Trojan Rooms in Whitley Bay.
The renowned drug smuggler will talk about his life and about the film in which he will be played by actor Rhys Ifans, which is due to be released next year.
He said: "I have been to the north east a couple of times for gigs in the last couple of months, it's starting to feel like my second home.
"I'm sure the crowd will enjoy what I have to offer them."
