Honoured for safety work

An employee has been honoured for his work helping keeping colleagues safe.

Jim Bradley, from Morpeth, is a driver at the Speedy depot in North Shields and received an award in the Speedy Excellent Awards after receiving praise from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Speedy supported a HSE ‘Safety Day’ with Jim praised for his exemplary conduct.

Ian Moore, Speedy area services director for the north, said: “As the rental industry leader in promoting safety best practice, we were proud to receive such a glowing report from the HSE for one of our employees.

“Jim was commended for his commitment to his duties, most notably for his health and safety procedures.

“He has a excellent work ethic, positive attitude and his willingness to go above and beyond on a daily basis is why he has won this award.”

Jim, who has worked at Speedy for six years, said: “Words can’t describe how happy I am to win this award. I love my job and it’s a great feeling knowing that my work hasn’t gone unnoticed.”

Speedy chief executive Mark Rogerson MBE said: “Our people are our greatest asset.”

“The Excellence Awards were created to recognise their efforts and to thank those individuals who make an outstanding contribution in their work.
