Hospice taster sessions in six-week course
DIET tips, complementary therapies, and a spot of pampering are on offer at St Oswald's Hospice over the next few weeks.
St Oswald's day services, based in Gosforth, is running the taster sessions to introduce those with life limiting conditions to the services on offer at the hospice.
The six-week course covers beneficial topics for patients, including complementary therapy, advice on benefits and entitlements, relaxation tips, and advice on diet and nutrition.
The course culminates with a pamper session for patients, with reflexology, aromatherapy, a make up session for the ladies and a chance to talk to experts.
The informal sessions start on Monday, February 25 and will run weekly from 11am to 1pm.
Patients can also bring a friend, carer or family member to the sessions, says the hospice.
